Concert – Funeral Jazz in Guanarteme
Details
Concert — Funeral Jazz at the Old Guanarteme Cinema, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Meeting point: Old Guanarteme Cinema (C/ Fernando Guanarteme nº 163). We will walk through different parts of the neighbourhood to highlight the impact of the PGOU on our homes, spaces and way of life, accompanied by live jazz music. We will end in Plaza del Pilar with a symbolic funeral for the loss of our neighbourhood. The entire action will be recorded as part of an audiovisual project about the memory and transformation of Guanarteme. We invite the whole community to take part: – coming dressed in mourning – bringing banners, flowers or messages – being part of this collective action Afterwards we will share some refreshments at Huerto La Ventana (C/ Lepanto nº 56). Dress in mourning. Because Guanarteme is not for sale.
