Amaryyo was born in 2013 as an impulse, the result of a dream. I brought this space to life without leaving room for doubts or fears, because when things are done from the heart, its beat guides you… and I let myself be carried away. A place where everyone who comes adds more light to this amar-y-yo color. A place for everyone, to walk together on this path of reunion with ourselves, to return home.

Auditorio Alfredo Kraus

The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium dominates Las Canteras beach, facing the ocean right by the sand. Since it opened, in 1997, its name has been linked to that of the unforgettable tenor born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The architect Óscar Tusquets conceived it as a great fortress and the sculptor Juan Bordes created a powerful sculptural group inspired by Las Canteras beach, as a “symbolic theatre of the sea”. by the sand. Since it opened, in 1997, its name has been linked to that of the unforgettable tenor born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The architect Óscar Tusquets conceived it as a great fortress and the sculptor Juan Bordes created a powerful sculptural group inspired by Las Canteras beach, as a “symbolic theatre of the sea”. The Auditorium’s symphonic and chamber halls regularly host the best international classical and contemporary music. At the beginning of the year it is the venue for the Canary Islands Music Festival.

A variety of opportunities to enjoy connecting with our fellow humans in Gran Canaria will be offered, including: Listening Practice (what does it mean to really hear someone, to be heard?) Accountability Groups (having your goals be heard by others) Authentic Relating activities (moves us into genuine, meaningful connection, being real with yourself, building trust, understanding, and deeper relationships often while having fun!) Ukulele Jams (Timples welcome! Singers welcome!) Democrats Abroad (for USA) Creative Collaborations (playful activities that stretch possibilities and invite joy) Gratitude Activities (including a beautiful one from Peru) Depending on the event we'll meet more, or less frequently and usually in person, but could be online or hybrid.

Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. Once everyone’s arrived, we will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session. Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. Teatro Pérez Galdós

The Pérez Galdós Theatre is a cultural institution with more than a century of history. It was built in the Triana district, near Vegueta, on the left bank of the Guiniguada ravine. During this time it has been the prime centre for the performing arts on the island of Gran Canaria and the cultural heart of the city. Today the Pérez Galdós Theatre is an architectural landmark, a social emblem and an inescapable political reference point for the capital and also for the island. It has a regular programme all year round and is the home of the Alfredo Kraus Opera Festival.
