CreativeMornings Las Palmas: Talk by Yoandy Suárez
Details
Our theme for April is EMBER — brasa. It has been chosen by the CreativeMornings Poulsbo chapter in Washington and illustrated by Sarah Gordon. In its literal meaning, an ember is a small piece of glowing coal or wood that remains when a fire begins to die down. But as a metaphor… it is much more. --- What remains Embers are what’s left after intensity. They don’t make noise. They don’t seek attention. But they are still there, holding the heat. They are a quiet force. A latent potential. They remind us that not everything needs to be visible to be valuable. --- The quiet fire From Poulsbo, they describe it this way: Embers are the lasting remnants of fire. What remains when everything else settles. In that slower space — far from the noise — something essential lives: Reflection. Resilience. Growth. We don’t always have to shine brightly. Sometimes, what matters most is simply not going out. --- The strength of the subtle In a world that pushes toward immediacy, the ember invites us into a different rhythm. To sustain instead of accelerate. To care instead of force. To trust what grows without hurry. Ideas. Relationships. Dreams. All those things that don’t need noise to thrive. --- In community Each of us holds our own ember. An inner energy that, even after change or challenge, remains present. Ready to be rekindled. And when we come together, something happens. The warmth is shared. The energy is amplified. The fire is lit again. Community is not the moment of greatest intensity. It is the place where we care for what remains. --- CreativeMornings Las Palmas In this edition, we gather to reconnect with that quiet fire. To pause. To listen. To share from a deeper place. 📅 Friday, April 17 🕤 09:30 📍 Biblioteca Municipal La Isleta C. la Naval, 229A, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria A gathering to remember that, even in stillness, we remain lit. See you in April 🤍
