Miguel Ríos: The Last Waltz Tour
Details
Miguel Ríos returns to the road with his new tour “El último Vals” (The Last Waltz), a title he shares with his most recent record release. On this tour, the singer-songwriter takes to the stage of the Sala Sinfónica accompanied by four multi-instrumentalist musicians in an electro-acoustic setup where rock and country join hands once again. Miguel Ríos defines “El último Vals” as late-age songs, with his creative eye focused on what moves someone like him, who has just turned 81 and has spent more than 60 years on stage. The artist himself says that he still has solid reasons to continue in the trade: among them, he still has a voice, he still has hair, and he has stories—things that deserve to be sung. On “El último Vals” he has worked from the melodies sent to him by his teammate and producer Jose Nortes, and he sought to fit into them the ideas and emotions that stir his heart in these times. With his gaze set on the present, but still with the memories and experiences of the days of “Bienvenidos”, “A todo pulmón” and “Himno a la Alegría”, Miguel Ríos adds the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus as an essential stop on “El último Vals”.
