The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Alliance Française are celebrating the Francophonie with a very special concert by Michal. Michal Kwiatkowski is a Polish singer, pianist, songwriter and composer who has lived in France since 2002. He was discovered by the public as a finalist in Star Academy 3 in 2003, competing against his friend Elodie Frégé. Since then, he has released six albums and has performed extensively in French‑speaking countries and in Poland. His repertoire combines French chanson, acoustic pop inspired by classical music (he released an album entitled "Chopin Etc.", inspired by the work of his compatriot Frédéric Chopin), dream pop and even electronic music. Accompanied by his piano, which Michal calls "an extension of his body", the artist invites us to journey through his artistic career, performing his own songs ("Viens jusqu'à moi", "Mon Tout", "Mama" and "Je m'accroche"), as well as the iconic French songs that have marked his life ("Ainsi soit je" by Mylène Farmer and "Chanson des vieux amants" by Jacques Brel). Not to mention his latest single, "Je sais que tu m'as aimé", which Michal wrote as a tribute to all the people in his life who have passed away. Discover the world of Michal and his piano for the very first time in the Canary Islands! In collaboration with Fundación DISA.
