This May 30th, Agüimes celebrates Canary Islands Day, highlighting our roots, traditions, and the pride of belonging to a unique land, in a day organized by Los Argones, with the collaboration of the Agüimes Town Council. It is a gathering to share Canarian culture, our customs, and everything that is part of our identity. The programme will feature the Radio Agüimes show “Díselo a tu vecina”, the Argones Festival, a meeting of folk groups, a Canarian wrestling exhibition with the Unión Agüimes and Roque Nublo clubs, a stick-fighting demonstration by Pila Egenenacar, children’s games, and a craft and gastronomy fair to enjoy our traditions.
