The Children’s Pilgrimage of Gáldar, one of the most endearing and long‑standing events, returns to Gáldar. This Wednesday, May 27, it will bring together in the streets of the historic center the students, teachers and families of the Infant and Primary schools of Gáldar: Sardina del Norte, Maestro Manuel Cruz Saavedra de Barrial, San Isidro, Los Quintana, Antonio Padrón, Fernando Guanarteme, Alcalde Diego Trujillo, the CEIPS Jesús Sacramentado and the San Isidro Nursery School. They will also be joined by the following educational centers from other municipalities: CEIP Aguadulce, CEE Marente and CER Firgas-Artenara. After the success of the last edition, the City Council has once again decided that the children will be joined by users from several clubs and senior centers, resulting in a moving intergenerational gathering in which older people pass on Canary Islands customs and traditions to the children. galdar.es
