Instant Dance #3 – Dancing the Campuses
Details
[Dance] — INSTANT DANCE #3 – DANCING THE CAMPUSES at the School of Architecture of the ULPGC, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Instant Dance #3 celebrates International Dance Day on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the School of Architecture of the ULPGC, kicking off the third year of the cultural project DANCING THE CAMPUSES. The ULPGC and the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, in collaboration with peso producciones, continue to back DANCING THE CAMPUSES, a project whose main aim is to encourage appreciation of the act of expressing oneself through movement, by means of dance interventions across the different campuses. These gatherings will take place between April and December 2026. The School of Architecture on the Tafira Campus once again becomes the setting for Instant Dance #3, creating an out-of-the-ordinary morning, where movement-arts professionals surprise and interrupt the campus’s daily routine with performative actions accompanied by live music. Without giving too much away, we can reveal the names of the artists who will be with us on this occasion: Abián Hernández, Tamara López, Jose Vera Bello and Oluwabukunmi Olukitibi. As one of the most influential choreographers of the 20th century, Pina Bausch, reminds us: Let’s dance, let’s dance, let’s dance, otherwise we are lost.
