The Southern Question in the Canary Islands
Details
THE SOUTHERN QUESTION IN THE CANARY ISLANDS WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 - 8:00 P.M. Why Gramsci and why the Canary Islands on the centenary of The Southern Question? Thinking from Gramsci and thinking about the elements of coloniality in the Canary Islands is essential in order to find strategies and synergies at this moment in which Canary Islanders must be capable of finding historical solutions that are up to the level of the current context. This work was Gramsci’s last while in freedom; it is how he thought about his insularity in the construction of the Italian state. We, in turn, must find the path toward our own praxis of liberation.
