ENTREMEDIAS: Orchestral Interludes & Preludes
Details
“Entremedias (intermezzo in Italian) is the elusive space of greatest understanding that we can imagine, because while being present, it has already passed, and in the future it will always exist. Entremedias is today, it was yesterday and it will be. Entremedias is to sail.” Taking this poetic idea as a starting point, the Maestro Valle University Orchestra of the ULPGC, conducted by José Brito, presents a new programme focused on well-known interludes, preludes and intermezzos from operas, zarzuelas and plays, such as Carmen, La boda de Luis Alonso or Thaïs. In addition, we will be able to enjoy solo performances by Haridian Santana on violin and Helena Cuaresma on castanets, and a new composition by Álvaro Díaz will be premiered. In keeping with the social and charitable nature of the orchestra, all proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Asociación Víctimas Mortales DANA 29-O.
