EL FESTI DE LA JUNTADERA We didn’t do an opening party, but we want to encourage you to come and discover this new space. And we can’t think of a better way than organizing a musical gathering that brings together some of the most notable talents on the current Canary Islands scene. Taking part in this first edition of El Festi De La Juntadera will be: ROFE, CASABLANCA III, DOM and FAJARDO, with the cross-cutting appearance of ALBA G ACEYTUNO and the sonic seasoning of BAKED BELDA. And there may even be a last-minute surprise or two… The chosen date is Saturday, March 14 at 19:00. Tickets: 15€ in advance 18€ at the door. We are at C/ Profesor Lozano 23, El Sebadal (LPGC). The poster artwork was created by the brilliant illustrator ENRIQUE LORENZO. THE BANDS ROFE. In their own words, Rofe play verbena post‑rock, pachanga destroy or tropical punk. Whatever that may be, they’ll be presenting their new album “Drama ’n’ bass” and have one or two surprises ready for this concert. Its members have long careers behind them in other bands, but here they combine their desire to have fun and unleash the most playful side of their creativity. CASABLANCA III. This trio is known for creating hypnotic melodies and spacey atmospheres. Their sound combines psycho‑kraut rock with electronic touches, steeped in synthesizers and loops to create a sound mantra. Formed at the end of 2023 in a decadent industrial area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the group draws inspiration from its surroundings: tourist paradise by day, creative hub by night. The trio is made up of Regina Antúnez on bass, Ancor Casimiro on drums and Víctor Herrera on guitar and synthesizers. Their influences span iconic bands such as Neu!, Can and Suicide, as well as modern artists like Moon Duo, The Black Angels and Föllakzoid. DOM. Probably the most visceral side of veteran musician from the Canarian underground, Domingo Alemán. With this project he gives free rein to his most experimental streak. It’s material he records and produces at home himself – even the artwork is his – and where he moves like a fish in water through a palette of styles ranging from hip hop, blues and noise to minimalist electronica. His lyrics, sometimes in Spanish and sometimes in English, are direct, with no frills, but always loaded with emotion or with a critical eye on current affairs. FAJARDO. He has developed a diction and (non‑)control of his own voice that is beyond any comparison. The musician from Fuerteventura has left everything else aside and is capable of putting his whole body on the line, of placing words at the service of songs that pursue truth in every corner. From raw visceral power to the deepest delicacy, Fajardo’s voice beautifully and necessarily sheaths his own compositional stamp. Like a riverbed for the stream, the pieces live from other complementary halves. ALBA G ACEYTUNO. She will be the guest of honour at this first edition of El Festi de La Juntadera. Lately she has been presenting her first solo album: loscoloresdelaspiedras, a work that is bringing her many joys both inside and outside the islands. But for this occasion she promises to get involved in each and every performance of the night and leave that unique, brilliant mark that only she can leave. BAKED BELDA. The chattiest, most fun‑loving selector on the Canarian scene will bring along his case full of music to season what promises to be a very special gathering.
