Ana Curra in Concert
Details
🎤ANA CURRA 🗓️11 April at 8:30 p.m. Tickets on sale at the box office and at: https://www.tureservaonline.es/es/events/ana-curra-en-concierto Ana Curra, pianist and composer, was part of the first line-up of Alaska y los Pegamoides before Parálisis Permanente and Los Seres Vacíos. Part of that repertoire makes up her current concerts, together with her latest compositions. Ana Curra created the first independent label that existed in Spain, Tres Cipreses. After the death of her sentimental and creative partner, Eduardo Benavente, she recorded with El Ángel, a member of Los Escaparates, Digital 21, Los Vengadores and El Último Eslabón, while at the same time beginning her solo career. She has also collaborated with We Are Not Brothers, Narco, Munjitas del Fuzz, Antifan, Bala, Buenos Vampiros, and Andrés Ama on Estrategias de la Realidad. She graduated in piano from the conservatory of El Escorial, where she was born. When she moved to Madrid at just 17 years of age, she brought with her the character forged by the climate and the granite of the Sierra de Guadarrama. A dark, sinister and esoteric place, steeped in the vibrations that emanate from the monastery; with her, post-punk was born. No other figure embodies the essence of the Movida Madrileña (the genuine one, not the official version) like Ana Curra: a muse for artists of all disciplines, especially the photographer Alberto García Alix, and a free spirit who has never settled for standing still or living off her legacy.
