La Volada is the first Bird Festival of Gran Canaria and will be held on April 17 and 18, 2026, in Artenara. Beyond being a meeting place for the curious, enthusiasts and professionals from the world of birds and lovers of nature, La Volada is another attempt to help people understand the value and fragility of natural spaces and to share knowledge, passions, joy and pride for the biodiversity that surrounds us. Workshops, birdwatching routes, talks about Macaronesian birdlife, documentaries, nature photography, fair, concerts, delicious food and the latest literary releases await you in the middle of a green landscape full of life after a very good rainy season.
