Public Presentation of the Tagoror Goro Urban Project
Details
The Santa Brígida Town Council presents to the public the project that is set to define its urban future. Next Monday, May 25, at 6:30 p.m., the marquee on Calle Nueva will host the public presentation of Tagoror Goro, the winning proposal of the ideas competition called by the council for the drafting of the basic and execution project of Gran Canaria Central, one of the most significant urban planning actions for the development of the municipality in the coming decades. The event, open to the public, will be attended by the mayor of Santa Brígida, José Armengol, and the councillor for Urban Planning, María Lozano Lordán, as well as the architects responsible for the proposal, José Ignacio Linazasoro and Ricardo Sánchez González, accompanied by part of the technical team that has developed the project, a temporary joint venture made up of Linazasoro & Sánchez Arquitectura SLP, together with professionals Felipe Gago Doreste, Violeta Rivero Herrera, Ricardo Tuya Cortés and Raúl García Toledo. In parallel, the remaining seven finalist proposals can also be viewed, offering residents the opportunity to get to know first-hand the creative, technical and urban planning process developed throughout the competition. Last March, Tagoror Goro received the highest score from the jury, with 92 points out of 100, standing out for the coherence of its urban approach, the strength of its preliminary analysis, the comprehensive vision of its design and its ability to dialogue with the existing environment. The jury especially valued the sensitivity with which the proposal interprets the scale of the municipality, its traditional layout, cultural heritage and community life, as well as its commitment to creating spaces designed for citizen encounters and everyday use. With this public presentation, Santa Brígida opens up to its citizens a space for learning about the proposal that will shape the urban development of the town in the coming years.
